The City of Tempe is working with Hayden House Tempe, LLC, which according to AZ Big Media, is a partnership between Douglas Wilson Companies of San Diego and Hensel Phelps Development LLC of Greely, Colorado, to develop a new project on the corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway. The name of the new mixed-use development is One | Hundred | Mill, a play on the actual address of the property which is 100 S. Mill Ave.
The project is a $190 million mixed-use creative property, consisting of multiple towers that will contain office space, a boutique hotel and restaurants and retail space.
One | Hundred | Mill is very well received by the marketplace and is a step in the right direction in the revitalization of the historic Hayden House and Tempe as a whole.
“Respecting the historic Hayden House and using this process as an opportunity to revitalize this community asset was key to One | Hundred | Mill’s success,” said Tempe Mayor, Mark Mitchell. “The City of Tempe is excited to see a project that will help advance the downtown into the future, while simultaneously preserving its past.”
The project is expected to be completed by 2017. For more information, click here to read more from AZ Big Media.
