MEET THE TEAM
Ryan Spiekerman is a founding principal of HELIX and is responsible for overseeing current assets, as well as identifying growth opportunities. Ryan also serves as a principal and founder of the Next Gen companies which have acquired over $100 million of real estate. Through his 22 years of real estate experience, Ryan is able to leverage his background in development, management and finance to identify a comprehensive solution to the most complex real estate requirements. Mr. Spiekerman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and he holds an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of business at Arizona State University. Ryan is actively involved in several charitable organizations that benefit children's health, safety and education.
Director of Operations
Joann has been working in the commercial real estate industry since 2004. With over 14 years of experience, she has provided executive support in all areas of commercial real estate including sales, acquisitions, leasing, development, property management and day to day operations. Joann plays a vital part in the company by overseeing the general functionality of the office, as she also cultivates and maintains relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts. She has superb use of judgment, initiative, and creative problem solving in a fast-paced environment while always representing Helix’s brand and key values. Joann’s strong work ethic and passion for detail make her an asset to our team.
Principal & Designated Broker
Adam Feldman has been a commercial real estate professional since 1992. During his real estate career, Mr. Feldman has represented a multitude of clients in the sale and lease of commercial, office, retail and residential property, as well as purchased and sold several properties for his own account.
Adam currently oversees the debt and equity for the company's various Next Gen Investments as well as handles the operations, management and financial components of Helix and Next Gen Investments. Mr. Feldman is a graduate of University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with a Masters of Business concentrating in Finance and Strategy. Additionally, he graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Political Science and a Minor in Economics.
Commercial Leasing & Sales
Jeff Harris began his real estate career in 2000 following the sale of his restaurant and family entertainment business he owned and operated for 6 years in upstate New York. A real estate veteran, Jeff has been responsible for over 300 leasing transactions with a lease value in excess of 85 million dollars. He has also closed over 140 million dollars in investment sales transactions. As a former small business owner and investment property owner, Jeff is very familiar and sensitive to the needs of both tenants and landlords. Jeff is a graduate of the State University of New York with a BS in Economics and Business Administration.
Brokerage & Property Manager
Sarah Thompson has worked in commercial real estate since 2002. She specializes in landlord and tenant representation and has closed over 300 leasing and sales transactions. Sarah’s real estate knowledge encompasses all facets of retail, including new development, leasing and sales.Sarah’s strong work ethic, personal service and thorough attention to detail make her a valuable asset to both landlords and tenants. She is the recipient of the CoStar Group’s Power Broker award in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and has served on the ICSC Southwest Idea Exchange Board.
Director of Acquisitions and Sales
Paul Gorraiz has 14-yrs. of experience in the Phoenix real estate market with a primary focus and passion in urban infill development and revitalization of Communities. Paul has the ability to locate unutilized or underdevelopment property and create value by assembling, entitling, designing, and re-purposing them for live, work and play. Paul is also the major appointee to the Camelback East Village Planning Committee, and Encanto Village Planning Committee. He is the Director of Bethany Ranch Home, which is a 501(c) organization that is a long-term care agency that provides services for the development of the mentally disabled in our community. Paul is also on the Development Advisory Board and the chairman of the DAB Technical Subcommittee for the city of Phoenix where he represents Residential Developers.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing and is married with six children.

Alan King has been a real estate professional for over 35 years. His career began in the banking industry in the eastern United States. Soon after moving to Phoenix, AZ he changed professions and entered the commercial real estate industry, focusing on sales and leasing. His strong work ethic and ability to cultivate relationships with Landlords and Tenants alike, are a foundation for his success.
